Damascus, March 25 (SANA) Reinforcement teams from the Syrian Civil Defense arrived in Hasakah province, northeastern Syria, on Wednesday to support emergency response efforts following days of heavy rainfall and flooding.

The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management said the teams commenced field operations immediately, in cooperation with local emergency services, to assess damage and provide assistance to affected communities.

The ministry said Tuesday that more than 400 homes in the Tal Hamis area, north-east of Hasakah, had been flooded as a result of the severe weather prompting the intervention of Syrian Civil Defense teams.

Officials said the reinforcements aim to boost rapid response capabilities, protect lives and property, and minimize further losses while severe weather conditions persist.

Authorities also issued warnings, urging residents to take necessary precautions due to ongoing storms and the risk of further flooding in northeastern regions.
