Quneitra, March 24 (SANA) Israeli forces advanced toward the village of Ofania in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southwest Syria, on Tuesday.
According to SANA reporter, four Israeli military vehicles set up a checkpoint near al-Kasarat, at the entrance to Ain al-Bayda, along the road linking Jabata al-Khashab and Ofania. Five additional vehicles carried out patrols in the surrounding area before withdrawing.
This followed a similar incident on Monday, when an Israeli infantry unit of around 30 soldiers entered the vicinity of the Ruwayhina Dam in the north of the province.
Israeli forces have repeatedly carried out incursions in the area between Jabata al-Khashab, Ofania, and Ain al-Bayda, committing ongoing violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, citing continued incursions, arrests, and the bulldozing of land in southern Syria.
Syria calls for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, emphasizing that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void under international law.
