Syrian and Saudi officials met in Riyadh to enhance security coordination and exchange expertise, Syria’s Interior Ministry said Tuesday.
“A delegation from Syria’s Immigration and Passports Directorate, led by Deputy Director Colonel al-Walid Arabi, visited Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation,” the ministry said in a statement.
The delegation reviewed the operational procedures of the Saudi passport authority with Saudi officials and discussed ways to boost joint security coordination in immigration and passport affairs.
Syrian officials were also briefed on specialized capacity-building programs in Saudi Arabia, with both sides exploring opportunities for cooperation in professional development.
