Damascus, March 21 (SANA) Syria’s Health Minister Musab al-Ali said Decree No. 68, which provides targeted salary increases for employees of the Health Ministry, is expected to support healthcare workers and improve the quality of medical services.
In a post on the platform X, al-Ali said the measure reflects the ministry’s approach to strengthening the sector through investment in human resources.
“This step comes as a clear affirmation of the Ministry of Health’s vision that investing in people is the true gateway to developing and improving the quality of healthcare services,” he said.
He added that ensuring the professional and living stability of healthcare staff is key to maintaining service standards and supporting public health.
President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued Decree No. 68 of 2026, introducing salary increases for employees across several public institutions, including the Ministry of Health, with the aim of enhancing workers’ income and living conditions.
