Damascus, March 18 (SANA) Presidential envoy Ziad Al-Ayesh met with SDF leader Mazloum Abdi, in Hasakah on Wednesday, in the presence of Governor Nour al-Din Ahmad and Internal Security commander Marwan al-Ali.
The meeting discussed arrangements for the release of a second group of detainees, follow-up on the integration of the SDF into Syrian state institutions, and an assessment of progress made in recent days.

Earlier, Ahmad Al-Hilali, spokesperson for the presidential team overseeing the integration process, said that the SDF would take positive steps regarding detainees, including a large-scale release operation coordinated with Internal Security leadership in Hasakah. He added that the presidential team, in coordination with the Syrian General Intelligence Service, will prepare lists including hundreds of SDF fighters to be released starting Thursday.

On January 29, the Syrian government announced an agreement with the SDF on a ceasefire as part of a comprehensive deal, including a phased integration of military and administrative forces, the deployment of security forces in the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli, and the handover of all civilian institutions, government facilities and border crossings to the state.
