Damascus, March 18 (SANA) – Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh said the Syrian revolution represents a defining journey toward freedom that began 15 years ago and was written through the sacrifices and suffering of the Syrian people.
In a statement marking the anniversary, al-Saleh paid tribute to those who rose in defense of Syria’s freedom and dignity, including detainees, the displaced, and all who endured hardship during the years of the revolution, as well as those who contributed through humanitarian and community efforts.
He expressed hope that Syria will continue to be a unified homeland built on the values of freedom, dignity, and collective progress.
Syrians mark March 18 as the anniversary of the Syrian revolution against the defunct regime, which began with demands for freedom and justice and culminated in Liberation Day on December 8, 2024.
