Raqqa, Feb. 18 (SANA) Syria’s minister of administrative development met with the governor of Raqqa on Wednesday to discuss plans to improve public administration and strengthen the readiness of local institutions to implement reform measures.
Minister Mohammad Hassan Al-Sakkaf and Governor Abdulrahman Salama reviewed the performance of public-sector employees and discussed priorities for reorganizing government offices in the province, the ministry said in a statement.
The talks focused on addressing administrative challenges and setting timelines to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Al-Sakkaf said institutional reform must move forward alongside reconstruction efforts, stressing the need for a modern administrative system capable of managing resources effectively and supporting stable governance.
For his part, Salama emphasized the importance of coordination with the ministry to streamline procedures, empower local staff and improve the quality of public services.
The meeting is part of a series of provincial visits by the Ministry of Administrative Development aimed at ensuring that reform policies are implemented effectively at the local level.
