The old bridge, "Mansour Bridge" in Raqqa city

Raqqa, Jan. 27 (SANA) Raqqa Governor Abdul Rahman Salama said on Tuesday that work is under way to launch a project to rehabilitate and maintain the old Bridge “Mansour Bridge in the city “, in coordination with relevant authorities.

He added that a comprehensive study is also being prepared to restore educational facilities, including schools and universities, alongside key infrastructure in health and development sectors.

Salama said the initiatives form part of an initial phase aimed at improving services in the province and easing daily life for residents. The projects, he noted, are part of government efforts to strengthen stability, drive development and enhance public utilities across multiple sectors.

Earlier this week, Syria’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nidal al-Shaar, toured Raqqa and affirmed that government institutions are committed to supporting the reconstruction of the city and strengthening its economic and service infrastructure.
