Aleppo, Jan. 27 (SANA) A second humanitarian convoy from Aleppo city departed Tuesday morning for Ain al-Arab in the province’s eastern countryside, as part of ongoing efforts to assist civilians affected by conflict.
The operation is coordinated by the Central Committee for Aleppo Response in partnership with Civil Defense teams, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and the Red Cross.
Farhad Khurto, deputy head of the committee, told SANA that the five-truck convoy carried essential supplies, including food, relief materials, medical aid for children and people with special needs, blankets, bedding, and large quantities of drinking water.
Amin Hababeh, director of Aleppo’s Emergency and Disaster Management Center, added that the directorate is accompanying the convoy to ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian assistance.
The convoy follows an earlier delivery on Monday of 24 trucks carrying medical supplies, relief items, and heating materials. The committee said the previous convoy was coordinated with the United Nations to help civilians, despite security risks from landmines previously planted by the “SDF” organization in the area.
