Lattakia, Dec. 28 (SANA) The Interior Ministry announced that the Internal Security Directorate in Jableh arrested Basil Issa Ali Jamahiri, linked to the Suhil al-Hassan criminal cell, and confiscated weapons and ammunition.
On Sunday, the Ministry posted on its Telegram channel that the arrest was part of a security operation carried out by the Internal Security Command in Lattakia province. The operation targeted the so-called “Saraya al-Jawad” criminal cell in Dweir Baabda village, located in the Jableh countryside.
The Ministry added that the arrested individual provided detailed information during questioning about the locations of weapons and ammunition. Specialized teams subsequently seized machine guns and various types of ammunition, following proper procedures.
Earlier, on December 24, the Lattakia Internal Security Directorate announced a special security operation targeting a group affiliated with the “Saraya al-Jawad” cell in the Jableh countryside, suspected of carrying out killings and targeting the Army and Interior Security Forces.
