Kuwait applauds Trump's decision to remove sanctions on Syria

Kuwait, SANA-The State of Kuwait has welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement on removing sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic during his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

In a statement reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s significant efforts in this matter.

“Kuwait values the great efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard and affirms that this step will support stability, prosperity, and development in the brotherly country of Syria,” the statement read.

The ministry reiterated Kuwait’s support for Syria, its people, and all efforts aimed at preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity.
