Damascus, SANA- The People’s Assembly Elections Committee issued Saturday executive instructions for selecting members of subcommittees at the electoral district level within a specific timetable.
The committee explained in a circular published on its Telegram that the selection of subcommittees members should be within the following timetable:
- Receiving nominations for subcommittees: August 23-25, 2025
- Announcing subcommittee proposals: August 26, 2025
- Receiving appeals on subcommittee formation: August 27-28, 2025
- Resolving appeals: August 29-30, 2025
- Issuing final subcommittee lists: August 31, 2025
- Subcommittees begin their duties:
- September 1, 2025 (receiving nominations and proposals from electoral bodies)
The Higher Committee for People’s Assembly Elections had announced the formation of committees to oversee the entire electoral process and coordinate with all local authorities to ensure transparency and optimal representation.
President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued on August 20 Decree No. (143) of 2025, ratifying the interim electoral system for the Syrian People’s Assembly.
