Syrian-German Discussions to Boost Cooperation in Emergency Response

Damascus, SANA-Emergency and Disaster Management, discussed with -Chargé d’Affaires at the German Embassy in Syria, Clemens Hach, prospects for joint cooperation in mine clearance, emergency response, and early warning systems in Syria.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the potential to benefit from Germany’s notable expertise in emergency and disaster management. They commended the efforts made by Syrian civil defense teams to support recovery and debris removal.

The two sides also addressed the unfortunate incidents that took place in Sweida Governorate , as well as the Ministry’s role in a comprehensive humanitarian response, assisting residents with evacuation and emergency services.

For his part, Hallak stressed the importance of establishing a sustainable partnership with Germany in this field to protect lives and support community recovery.
