Berlinm ,SANA- During his visit to the (iRights Lab) research center in the German capital, Berlin, which specializes in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, Minister of Information Dr. Hamza al-Mustafa met with the center’s general director, Philipp Otto, and a number of members of the research team.
They discussed ways of joint cooperation, particularly in the field of employing artificial intelligence technologies to combat rumors and hate speech, and promoting responsible media content. They also discussed the ethical challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in the areas of fact-checking and monitoring digital content.
Al-Mustafa stressed the importance of building partnerships with advanced research institutions to benefit from their expertise. He extended an official invitation to the center’s management to visit Syria and explore opportunities for practical cooperation in this vital field, which has become one of the most prominent tools for influencing public opinion.
The Minister held these meetings on the sidelines of his participation in Bonn International Media Forum, which kicked off in the German city of Bonn on July 7. He was joined by representatives of governments, international media institutions, journalists, and experts from around the world.
