Syria, Qatar agree on supporting Syrian healthcare infrastructure

Doha, SANA- Minister of Health Dr. Musab al-Ali and Qatari Minister of Health Mansour bin Ibrahimal Mahmoud discussed ways to enhance joint health cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, held in the Qatari capital, Doha, the two sides discussed mechanisms for supporting Syria’s healthcare sector and agreed on the implementation of several vital projects. These include the construction of a modern hospital built to the highest standards, the renovation and full equipping of three major hospitals, as well as their operation for three years with Qatari support.

The agreement also provides for the supply of ambulances and advanced medical equipment to the Syrian Ministry of Health, along with the allocation of financial resources to support urgent health cases. These efforts aim to enhance the Syrian healthcare sector’s ability to respond to increasing needs and improve the quality of services offered to citizens.

This cooperation reflects the commitment of both countries to developing bilateral relations in the field of healthcare.
