Saudi Arabia condemns terrorist attack near Palmyra

Riyadh, Dec. 13, (SANA) Saudi Arabia has condemned on Sunday the terrorist attack that targeted Syrian security forces and U.S. troops near Palmyra, resulting in several deaths and injuries.

in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “the Kingdom strongly denounced the terrorist attack targeting Syrian security forces and U.S. personnel during a joint anti-terrorism patrol near Palmyra.”

The ministry expressed its deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and to the governments concerned, and conveyed its wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured

A joint military patrol of Syrian security forces and U.S. troops came under attack near Palmyra on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of two U.S. soldiers and a civilian translator, and injuries to two Syrian personnel.
