The Arab parliament reaffirmed Thursday its full support for the Syrian people’s right to security and stability, stressing the importance of preserving Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and active Arab role.
The statement came during a general session held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, attended by Rolando Patricio, President of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament.
Addressing the session, Arab parliament speaker Mohammed Ahmed al-Yammahi said the current regional phase requires shifting from crisis management to tackling root causes through sustainable Arab-led solutions that promote development and cooperation.
Al-Yammahi emphasized that Syria’s stability is integral to the security of the Arab region and called for continued engagement and solidarity to support its reconstruction and reintegration into joint Arab frameworks.
