Damascus, SANA-With the participation of 40 players from 16 countries, the diplomatic table tennis tournament kicked off at al-Jalaa Sports City in Damascus, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and with the participation of embassies and diplomatic missions in Damascus.
On the first day of the competition, players from the participating teams were divided into 8 groups. The first and second place winners from each group qualify for the second round, which is held using a knockout system until the winners are determined.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with a ceremony attended by diplomatic and sports figures, during which the winners will be honored.
