Taranto, Italy, Sept. 3 (SANA) Syrian weightlifter Hamza Hallaq won bronze in the men’s 110 kg clean and jerk at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy.
Hallaq secured third place with a 191 kg lift on his second attempt. He opened with 186 kg before successfully lifting 191 kg and then missed his final attempt at 194 kg.
Earlier in the snatch, Hallaq set a personal best of 161 kg on his third attempt, improving his previous record of 157 kg by four kilograms and finishing seventh.
