Damascus, May 31 (SANA) Ahli Aleppo strengthened its grip on the Syrian Football Premier League summit with a 5-0 victory over al-Shouleh in the 25th round, raising its tally to 60 points.
Mohammad Rihaniyeh and Anas Dahan each scored twice, while Emmanuel Mahop added the fifth goal at the Daraa Municipal Stadium.
Homs al-Fidaa remained second after a 2-1 win over al-Wahda at al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus. Ibrahim Khalil of Homs al-Fidaa opened the scoring before Zeid Ghrir equalized for al-Wahda, but Hamada Jabari secured the victory with a stoppage-time winner.
Elsewhere, al-Karama defeated Tishreen 3-0, Omaya and Damascus al-Ahli drew 1-1, al-Hurriya beat Khan Shaykhun 1-0, Jableh overcame al-Fotuwa 2-1, and al-Shorta and al-Tali’ah played out a goalless draw.
The round concludes on Monday with Hutteen hosting al-Jaish in Latakia.
