Damascus, May 25 (SANA) Al-Nawair won the Syrian Men’s Handball League title after defeating Al-Jaish 34-31 in the deciding match of the final series on Sunday at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
The victory gave Al-Nawair their 16th league title after winning the best-of-three final series 2-1. Al-Jaish won the opening match 37-33, before Al-Nawair responded with a 32-31 victory in the second game and sealed the championship in the third match.
Al-Jaish reached the final after defeating Al-Taliya in the semifinals, while Al-Nawair advanced past Al-Shouleh.
Al-Taliya finished third in the final league standings, with Al-Shouleh placing fourth.
