Damascus, May 16 (SANA) Al-Jaish retained first place in the Syrian Men’s Volleyball Premier League after the fifth round of the first leg, moving to 12 points and leading Khan Sheikhoun on set difference, with both teams level on points.
All winning sides in the round prevailed 3-0. Al-Jaish claimed a key victory at Amouda in Qamishli; Al-Shorta beat Abu Hamam in Deir ez-Zor by the same score.
In Hama, Al-Salamiyah defeated Kansafra 3-0, and Khan Sheikhoun recorded a 3-0 win over Al-Wahda after Al-Wahda withdrew.
