Verona, Feb .23 (SANA) Norway topped the medal standings at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, securing 18 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze medals to finish first overall.
The United States finished second with 12 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze medals, followed by the Netherlands in third with 10 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze. Host nation Italy finished fourth with 10 gold, 6 silver and 14 bronze medals, while Germany placed fifth with 8 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze.
The Games, which opened on February 6, brought together 2,871 athletes from 92 countries.
