Hama, April 10 (SANA) Al-Nabek SC opened the return phase of Syria’s Women’s First Division Handball League with a narrow 24–23 victory over Mahardeh SC on Thursday in Hama .
The match remained tightly contested throughout, with al-Nabek managing to hold off a late challenge to secure a one-goal win in a closely fought encounter.
The round continues on Friday, when Qasioun SC face Al-Shorta SC at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
Al-Shorta finished the opening phase of the competition at the top of the standings with five points, followed by Al-Nabek in second place and Al-Karamah SC in third, all level on points and separated only by goal difference in head-to-head results among the three sides.
