Idleb, Jan. 20 (SANA) Al-Nawair secured a 3-0 victory over Tartous Police on Monday in the opening round of Syria’s men’s First Division football league at Idleb Municipal Stadium.
Coach Khaled Hammouwi said the win would motivate his players to maintain strong performances and pursue further victories. He added that the team is aiming to top its group and qualify for the Premier league stage.
The league kicked off on Sunday with Hama Workers facing Euphrates Falcons at the same venue. The first-leg matches will continue over five days, concluding next Thursday.
