Damascus, Oct.4 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued Sunday Decree No. 180 of 2026, granting an exceptional academic year for 2026-2027 to students who have used up their opportunities to pass failed courses or sit for examinations, in accordance with the decree’s provisions.
The decree stipulates that the student who has reached the limit on exam attempts to pass failed courses at the undergraduate level shall be granted an additional opportunity, starting from the 2010–2011 academic year to the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, whether or not the student previously benefited from an earlier decree.
