New York, Sept. 23 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met on Wednesday with Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and prospects for developing cooperation between Syria and Pakistan, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Earlier on Tuesday, President al-Sharaa participated in in a meeting convened by U.S. President Donald Trump with a number of Arab and Islamic leaders on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
