Berlin, July 14 (SANA) Syrian and Turkish consular officials met in Berlin to discuss strengthening coordination between their consular missions and improving services for their respective communities in Germany, according to a post by the Syrian Embassy in Berlin on X on Tuesday.
Mohammad al-Najjar, the Syrian Embassy’s consular affairs officer, met with Turkish Consul General İlker Okan Şanlı at the Turkish Consulate in the German capital.
The two sides discussed expanding consular cooperation, exchanging expertise in providing services to Syrian and Turkish nationals in Germany, and addressing procedures and challenges facing Syrians residing in Europe who travel to Syria via Türkiye, including ways to facilitate the process.
The meeting forms part of ongoing coordination between Syrian diplomatic missions and their counterparts abroad to improve consular mechanisms and enhance services for Syrian citizens living overseas.
