Riyadh, March 21 (SANA) The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed alBudaiwi, strongly condemned on Saturday the blatant Israeli attack targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria.
According to the GCC website, al-Budaiwi noted that the Israeli attack not only targets Syrian territory but also undermines the foundations of security and stability across the region.
He emphasized the importance of respecting Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, rejecting any foreign interference in its internal affairs. He stressed that Syria’s security and stability are essential pillars for the security of the region.
Al-Budaiwi also called for adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter, including respect for state sovereignty, to preserve regional and international peace and security.
The Israeli occupation carried out the attack on Friday against military infrastructure in southern Syria as part of its ongoing violations of the 1974 agreement. The attack, seen as an attempt to create chaos and tension and undermine security and stability, sparked widespread condemnation across the Arab world.
