Qatar Condemns Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

Doha, Mar. 13 (SANA) – The State of Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, considering them a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

“The international community must assume its responsibilities to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to cease their repeated attacks on Lebanon and to respect international conventions and laws,” Qatar News Agency quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying in a statement on Friday.

The Ministry affirmed Qatar unwavering stance towards Lebanon, its unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and its full support for all efforts that enhance its stability and prosperity.

The Israeli occupation has intensified its aerial attacks against Lebanon in recent days, targeting various sites in the south, the Bekaa Valley, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

One of the raids struck the Faculty of Sciences building at the Lebanese University.
