Damascus, March. 3 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, received on Tuesday a delegation from the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Monia Ammar.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the outcomes of the commission’s visit to Syria and the efforts it made over the past year, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation and facilitate its work in line with national laws and respect for Syrian sovereignty.
Al-Shaibani affirmed the Syrian government’s keenness on continuing coordination and constructive dialogue with UN mechanisms, praising the commission’s professional work.
For its part, the commission commended cooperation and facilitation provided by the Syrian government, as well as the efforts made in managing the current phase despite accumulated challenges inherited from the previous period.
