Syrian-American Coalition urges Congress to fully lift sanctions on Syria

Washington, SANA – The Syrian-American Coalition called on Congress to fully lift sanctions on Syria in order to restore the rights of the Syrian people.

The organization said in a post on the X platform: “Syrian- Americans are uniting from across communities to speak out on behalf of the Syrian people for a life free from sanctions.”

It called on Congress to move and lift these “harmful measures” with the aim of restoring the basic rights and dignity to which every human being is entitled.

The coalition expressed its gratitude to the partners in this effort “for standing with Syria and demonstrating what we can achieve when we unite for the common interests.”

The Syrian-American Coalition for Peace and Prosperity is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to promote peace, prosperity, and cultural understanding between the Syrian and American communities through advocacy, education, and humanitarian initiatives.
