Bahrain welcomes Syria ceasefire deal, integration of SDF into state

Manama, Jan. 19 (SANA) The Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday welcomed the ceasefire agreement and the full integration of the SDF into the institutions of the state, saying the step enhances Syria’s unity and sovereignty.

In a statement, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry stressed the kingdom’s firm and supportive position toward the security of the Syrian Arab Republic, its stability and sovereignty, and the unity and integrity of its territory.

The statement also underscored support for completing Syria’s constitutional institutions in a manner that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, social stability and sustainable prosperity, and for restoring Syria’s active role in its Arab and international surroundings.

On Sunday, President Ahmad al-Sharaa signed the ceasefire agreement and the full integration of the SDF into state institutions. The agreement has drawn wide Arab and international welcome.
