Raqqa, Jan. 17 (SANA) The Operations Command of the Syrian Arab Army said late Saturday that army forces have established control over the village of Zur Shummar, east of Raqqa. Other units have entered the towns of Hunayda and al-Safsafa, as well as the villages of Abu Asi and al-Jabli, and secured control over the city of al-Mansoura in western Raqqa Province.
Earlier, the Command said that army forces had entered the city of al-Mansurah and taken control of al-Hajjaneh Camp near al-Tabqah. They also seized the village of Rajm al-Ghazal in the Raqqa countryside.
“The Army’s units are now approaching the city of al-Tabqah, while forces have also entered the city of al-Ghanem al-Ali,” the Command added.
Earlier Saturday, the Army announced that it had taken full control of Deir Hafer and Maskanah in the Aleppo countryside.
