Damascus, Dec. 23 (SANA) Brig. Gen. Faheem Issa, Syria’s deputy defense minister for the northern region, held a meeting in the “Peace Spring” area on Tuesday to review the readiness and deployment of military units. The meeting was attended by Brig. Gen. Aqil Amer, commander of the 72nd Division, and several senior officers.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement on its Telegram channel that the discussions focused on the latest field developments and the operational preparedness of forces in the area.
Brig. Gen. Issa previously conducted inspection visits to the 60th Division in August to assess its operational and administrative readiness, and toured Ministry of Defense forces in the eastern Euphrates region in May.
The ministry said such inspections and meetings are part of ongoing efforts to monitor the combat and administrative readiness of Syrian Arab Army units.
