Ankara,Dec. 23 (SANA)Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) urged the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to accelerate the implementation of the March 10 Agreement signed with the Syrian state.
“The SDF should have made progress in implementing the March 10 Agreement, but the reason it has gone in the opposite direction is its deception by external promises and its belief that it could gain through them. This is a grave mistake,” Party spokesman Ömer Çelik said on Monday, according to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency.
Çelik added: “Although months have passed since the signing of the agreement, the SDF has taken no steps to implement it. Its provisions must be applied quickly. The agreement represents a sound roadmap,” stressing that anyone encouraging the SDF not to implement it is committing the gravest offense against Syria.
Çelik stated that the SDF’s adherence to the March 10 Agreement would end its threat to both Syria and Turkey. He noted that Ankara seeks a future of fraternity, prosperity, and peace in the region, while some powers are attempting to drag it into proxy wars.
