Syrian Interior Ministry Delegation Attends Arab Security Training Conference in Doha

A delegation from Syria’s Ministry of Interior participated in the 14th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Training and Qualification Institutions, held in Doha under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers. The event drew participation from regional and international delegations.

The Syrian delegation was led by Hussein Salman, Director of the Training and Qualification Department, at Interior Ministry and included Brigadier General Maher Marai, Director of the Police College.

According to a statement posted on the Ministry’s official Telegram channel, the conference sessions focused on enhancing the technical capabilities of police and security personnel in combating cybercrime. Discussions also covered a strategic framework for preventive security training and a crisis and emergency response plan aimed at improving operational readiness and professional competence across security institutions.

The Qatari Police Academy presented its Virtual Security Operations Center, which was awarded first place in the “Pioneering Security Programs” category of the 2024 Prince Naif Award for Arab Security. The center was recognized for its innovation and contribution to advancing modern security training systems across the Arab region.
