Pakistan has renewed its call for the international community to continue supporting Syria during the current period, emphasizing the need to ease sanctions and sustain reconstruction efforts.
Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Othman Jadoon, welcomed the recent People’s Assembly elections in Syria during a UN Security Council session on the situation in the Middle East. He noted that elections represent “an important step toward the gradual restoration of governance structures.”
