Haykal, STC Group discuss cooperation in digital transformation

Riyadh, SANA – A delegation from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, headed by Minister Abdul Salam Haykal, visited the headquarters of the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) Group, a leader in the telecommunications and digital transformation sector in the region, to brief on its business models and technical developments.

During the visit, according to a post by the Ministry of Communications on its Telegram channel, ways of cooperation and partnership between the ministry and the company were discussed in the fields of digital infrastructure, service development, transfer of expertise, and building national capabilities, which contributes to supporting the trend towards a comprehensive national digital transformation in Syria.

The two sides reviewed the business models and technical developments achieved by STC in recent years, which represent a regional reference for efficient technical performance and institutional innovation. Minister Haykal stressed the importance of benefiting from these experiences in the establishment phase that Syria is going through.

This visit comes within the context of opening channels of coordination with the Saudi private sector and creating common ground for fruitful cooperation that serves the technical and economic interests of both countries.
