Beirut, Aug. 21 (SANA) Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids across southern Lebanon early Friday, accompanied by explosions and artillery shelling, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.
The raids targeted al-Mansouri, while Israeli forces carried out explosions in Hadatha and al-Tairi in the Bint Jbeil district, with powerful blasts heard across several southern villages and towns.
Israeli warplanes also struck the area between Tal al-Dabsha and Doha Kafr Rumman, as well as Doha Kafr Rumman, the northern outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and the Ali al-Taher Heights, coinciding with artillery shelling.
The skies over Tyre and surrounding villages and towns also witnessed mock air raids overnight.
Two people were killed and two others injured Wednesday when explosive devices planted by Israeli forces detonated in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Thursday reiterated calls for Israeli forces to withdraw from Lebanon and halt attacks on its sovereignty. He also stressed the need to extend Lebanese state authority over the entire country and place decisions on war and peace exclusively in the state’s hands.
