Doha, Sept. 3 (SANA) Qatar discussed diplomatic efforts to contain escalating regional tensions and safeguard maritime navigation in separate calls with Egypt and Türkiye, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan about the latest regional developments and efforts to strengthen security and stability.
The talks focused on coordination among the three countries and diplomatic efforts to contain the escalation and address its repercussions, QNA said.
The Qatari prime minister reaffirmed Doha’s support for diplomatic efforts toward a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for a comprehensive agreement aimed at achieving lasting peace in the region.
In his call with Fidan, the two officials also discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation.
The calls come amid continued consultations among Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye as they seek to coordinate their positions on rapidly evolving regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
