Doha, Aug. 15 (SANA) Qatar on Saturday condemned escalating Israeli settler attacks in the occupied West Bank, saying they violate international law and relevant international resolutions.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X that the attacks reflected a policy of enabling further settler violations under the protection of Israeli occupation forces and security agencies.

The ministry called for urgent international action to protect Palestinians and hold those responsible accountable, reaffirming Qatar’s support for an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement followed the Palestinian Foreign Ministry’s condemnation of what it described as a five-day siege by Israeli occupation forces and settlers on Qusra, south of Nablus, which included damage to electricity and water networks.

The Palestinian ministry called for international intervention, saying settlers were being used for destruction, forced displacement and the implementation of an annexation project in the West Bank.
