Türkiye’s Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran– Ankara – Anadolu Agency

Ankara, Oct. 21 (SANA) Turkish Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said Wednesday that the Badr defense memorandum signed by the defense ministries of Türkiye, Qatar, Indonesia and Pakistan marks an important step toward strengthening their strategic partnership.

In a post on Türkiye’s NSosyal platform, carried by Anadolu Agency, Duran said Ankara continues to contribute to peace, security and stability in the region by enhancing cooperation in defense and security.

He added that the memorandum aims to promote cooperation in military production, develop the military capabilities of the four countries, and carry out joint initiatives in technical military training, research and development.

Duran expressed confidence that the memorandum would further strengthen solidarity among the four countries in the defense sector.

Earlier on Wednesday, Türkiye, Qatar, Pakistan and Indonesia signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding known as “Badr” to enhance defense cooperation, develop military industries and defense production, and expand collaboration in technical training, research and development.
