Daraa, July 26 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces stormed the villages of Maariyah and al-Arda in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside before dawn on Sunday, SANA’s reporter said.

The reporter said the force, consisting of three military vehicles and a bulldozer, entered the two villages during the early morning hours, opened a road and established a military checkpoint inside al-Arda village.

Israeli forces also dropped leaflets in towns across the Yarmouk Basin warning residents against blocking roads or obstructing the movement of Israeli military vehicles, the reporter said. No clashes or arrests were reported.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through its incursions into southern Syria, assaulting civilians through raids and arrests, bulldozing land, and shelling.

Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territory, asserting that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Syria also calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria.
