"Traditional food" tops the list of the most sought-after items on Ramadan

Damascus, SANA-Due to the dire economic conditions, many Syrian families have resorted to relying on traditional cuisines, which top the list of most requested items during the holy month of Ramadan.

“due to the people’s reluctance to buy food items such as meat and fish due to their high prices, a number of popular shops and restaurants have reduced their prices on the occasion of the holy month,“Secretary of the Popular Restaurants Association Sam Ghra, said in a statement the newspaper “Al-Watan Online” , calling for the need to take into consideration the current economic situation by working to reduce prices.
