Israeli occupation troops renewed their incursions today across several villages in the southern and northern countryside of Quneitra.
An Israeli force of two vehicles advanced into the village of Bureiqah, reaching the local communication hub before withdrawing. Simultaneously, another unit consisting of three vehicles entered the village of Ruwayhinah, while a tank moved toward Umm al-Atham, reaching the village center before leaving later. SANA correspondent reported.
A third Israeli contingent of three vehicles established a temporary checkpoint on the road connecting Rasm al-Shawli and Umm al-Atham, inspecting passersby. This occurred alongside an explosion within the separation zone near the occupied Golan west of al-Qahtaniyah town.
The correspondent further reported that Israeli forces have begun constructing a new gate in the buffer zone west of al-Rafid in southern Quneitra. Earlier today, a separate Israeli patrol of three vehicles penetrated the area between al-Ajraf and Umm Batina in northern Quneitra, erecting a checkpoint before withdrawing.
Syria continues to condemn Israel’s aggressive policies and repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which include incursions into southern Syria, arbitrary detentions, forced displacement, property destruction, and the plowing of agricultural lands.
The Syrian government reiterates its demand for the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Syrian territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are invalid under international law. Damascus also calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities in curbing Israel’s actions and ensuring a complete return to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
