Syria explores digital economy cooperation with World Bank, Toters
Talal al-Hilali, head of the Syrian Investment Authority meets with a delegation from the World Bank and Toters.

Damascus, June 25 (SANA) Syria’s Investment Authority held talks with representatives of the World Bank and regional technology company Toters on expanding cooperation in the digital economy, logistics and technology-driven services, as the country seeks to attract investment in high-growth sectors.

The meeting brought together Talal al-Hilali, head of the Syrian Investment Authority with a delegation from the World Bank and Toters, a regional platform specializing in on-demand delivery and digital services, according to a statement.

Discussions focused on investment opportunities in digital infrastructure, logistics and emerging technologies, as well as ways to improve the business environment, enhance service delivery and encourage investment in value-added industries.

The talks are part of the authority’s strategy to attract quality investment in technology and service sectors and support Syria’s broader economic transformation through innovative business models.

The authority said it also aims to deepen cooperation with international financial institutions and leading private-sector companies to promote innovation, create jobs and strengthen the competitiveness of the national economy.

It added that partnerships combining international expertise with local opportunities will be essential to advancing knowledge transfer, fostering innovation and developing services in line with regional and global economic and technological trends.
