Ankara, Oct. 7 (SANA) – Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Russian President, Vladimir Putin, discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues during a phone call on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate, cited by Anadolu Agency, Erdogan stressed the importance of efforts to ensure the safety of maritime navigation in the Black Sea, reaffirming Türkiye’s readiness to contribute to efforts to launch direct contacts between Russia and Ukraine.
The phone call comes as part of communication channels between Ankara and Moscow amid ongoing political and security challenges facing the region and the world.
