Washington,June 16 (SANA) US Vice President J.D. Vance said on Monday that the ceasefire agreement signed between the United States and Iran is a highly general public document, noting that the details will be determined during subsequent negotiations.
Reuters quoted Vance as saying during an interview with CNN that “the memorandum of understanding is about a page and a half long, so it is a very general document.”
Addressing a number of unresolved issues, Vance added: “We will have to resolve those matters during the technical negotiation phase.”
His remarks came a day after US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz is open and that the United States would lift its naval blockade on Iran.
The announcement followed Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement that Washington and Tehran had reached a ceasefire agreement.
