New York, Sept. 22 (SANA) Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said Lebanon is moving forward with strengthening state institutions and building a capable state that restores its sovereignty, while calling for Israel to fully withdraw from Lebanese territory and halt attacks.

He also said discussions covered moving forward with placing arms under state control and strengthening the role of state institutions.
Salam said the meetings also addressed efforts to mobilize support for return, recovery and reconstruction, as well as continuing reforms launched by the government.
He added that Lebanon is seeking to expand investment and cooperation opportunities, particularly in the energy and transport sectors and regional connectivity projects.
The Lebanese prime minister said Lebanon aims to support the return of its people and create opportunities for recovery while strengthening state institutions and sovereignty.
